Trailer
If you’ve ever struggled with the obsession over English-medium schools, this one will hit home! The trailer itself sets the tone for a fun yet meaningful ride.
Plot Overview
Alright, imagine this: You’re a successful businessman, own a fancy clothing store in Delhi, drive a nice car, and have all the comforts of life. But then, you realize something shocking—none of that matters when it comes to getting your kid into a top English-medium school.
That’s exactly what happens to Raj Batra (Irrfan Khan), a self-made man who never really cared about speaking polished English. His wife, Mita (Saba Qamar), however, is dead set on making sure their daughter Pia gets into an elite school. Why? Because in their world, good English equals a good future.

From bribing consultants to attending awkward personality development classes, Raj and Mita go to ridiculous lengths to fit into high society. But when they fail, they come up with a crazy idea—pretend to be poor! They move into a slum, struggling to live a life they never imagined, just to qualify under the “economically weaker section” (EWS) quota. We explain it at filmyfly
That’s when they meet Shyam Prakash (Deepak Dobriyal), their kind-hearted neighbor who helps them adjust to slum life without knowing their true intentions. More importantly, will they realize that education isn’t just about speaking fancy English?
Review
What I Loved
✔ Irrfan Khan is a gem – He delivers comedy so naturally that you’ll laugh at even the simplest dialogues. His expressions alone are gold!
✔ The mix of humor and reality – One moment, you’re laughing at Raj struggling with English, and the next, you’re thinking about how unfair the education system really is.
✔ Deepak Dobriyal steals the show – He plays the humble, honest Shyam so beautifully that you’ll feel guilty for ever taking anything for granted.
✔ Relatable to every Indian family – If you’ve ever seen parents stressing over “which school is best,” this will feel all too familiar.

What Could Be Better
✘ Some parts feel exaggerated, but honestly, that’s what makes it fun!
✘ The second half slows down a bit before picking up again, but the emotional payoff is worth it.
Final Opinion

- It’s entertaining, emotional, and carries a message that sticks with you long after the credits roll.
