So Don is one of those movies that hit me right in the feels—especially if you’ve ever looked back at your college days and thought, Wow, I really had no clue what I was doing back then. That’s exactly what this movie taps into.
The story follows Sivakarthikeyan’s character, who’s basically the classic “fun guy with no direction” we’ve all met—or maybe been—in college. He’s always getting into trouble, mostly thanks to his run-ins with a super strict college dean played by S. J. Suryah (who totally nails the serious-and-scary vibe, by the way). But underneath all the laughs and chaos, the movie slowly unpacks something deeper: figuring out your purpose, on your own terms.
I honestly saw bits of my own college life in this film—especially the part where you try to rebel against everything until one day, something just clicks and you find your path. That hit hard.
🎧 Vibes & Performances
Sivakarthikeyan is his usual charming self—funny, expressive, and super relatable. And Anirudh’s soundtrack? Absolute fire. The songs get stuck in your head and actually add to the story, which doesn’t always happen in movies like this.
Also, major shoutout to Soori for bringing in the comedy without overdoing it. The film balances humor and emotion surprisingly well.
