šµļøāāļø Plot / Whatās It About?
Okay, so Irudhi Pakkam is one of those low-key mystery thrillers that sneaks up on you. The story kicks off with the sudden and suspicious death of a young woman named Anitha. At first glance, it looks like a pretty straightforward case, but nopeāthings spiral into this layered investigation led by a police officer and a journalist. As they dig into her past, they start uncovering stuff that completely flips the story. Secrets, lies, and major twistsāthis one definitely plays the long game with its suspense.

š My Thoughts (a.k.a. the Review):
I randomly stumbled across Irudhi Pakkam while looking for something differentāno big stars, no over-the-top drama. Just a clean, smart mystery. And honestly? I was surprised in the best way.
From the get-go, the story pulls you in. Itās not flashy or trying too hardāit just tells a good story. The director, Mano Ve Kannathasan, clearly knows what heās doing. You can tell this film was made with a lot of care, even on a tight budget.

Amrutha Srinivasan is the real MVP here. Her performance felt so real and grounded, and the way her characterās secrets start to unfold… chef’s kiss. Rajesh Balachandiran as the cop adds a solid balance tooānothing overly heroic, just believable and relatable.
Now, Iāll admit, there were moments where the pace dipped a bit, and I caught myself checking how much time was left. But even then, I needed to know how it would end. That mystery keeps tightening its grip as the film goes on.

It kind of reminded me of the old-school thrillers I used to loveāones that didnāt rely on loud music or crazy chase scenes, just strong writing and good characters.
ā Would I Recommend It?
Absolutely.
If you’re tired of the same old commercial films and want something with more brain than brawn, Irudhi Pakkam is worth your time. Itās smart, subtle, and keeps you guessing. Definitely one of those hidden gems Iām glad I gave a shot. For more movie reviews and updates visit filmyfly!
